What's Going On In Class

Roller Coaster Fun- Last Tuesday Hillside 5th graders traveled to Michigan's Adventure. We had a great time and the rain held off so we could enjoy all the rides. In the picture above Gloria and Jacob get ready for a ride on Shivering Timbers.

Reading- We will have free choice reading this week.

Writing- Students will help create a bulletin board for next year.

Spelling- We will continue our new spelling program Sitton Spelling. This will be a brand new way of doing spelling for your child and it will expose them to the type of spelling taught in 6th grade. If you have any questions please contact me.

Social Studies- We will continue to cover the Revolutionary War.

Math with Mr. Foote- This week our class will continue working on area.

Science with Mrs. Thelen- Our class is working on force and motion.
