Harrison Community Schools  Inclement Weather Plan for Early March, 2010      For the week of March 1-5, 2010, the schedule will be as follows.   If there is a snow day March 1st or 2nd  it will not effect the Exam Schedule for Harrison High School, Middle School, or Alternative Education.  If a snow day occurs on March 3rd  then March 4th  becomes a full day of school and Monday March 8 becomes a half-day of school with Exams. . If a snow day occurs on March 4th  then all students will have a half-day of school on Monday, March 8th with exams.  Please remember there is no school for all students on March 5th due to a Teacher Professional Development work day.  Tuesday, March 9th will remain the state-wide testing date for the ACT.  All juniors will be required to attend school on March 9th.  All high school Freshmen, Sophomores, and Seniors will not attend school on March 9th.  HARRISON COMMUNITY SCHOOLS MISSION STATEMENT The staff of Harrison Community Schools in the spirit of a growing and changing community, pledges to educate all students by teaching the District Curriculum and beyond, insuring the development of responsible learners prepared to take an active role in a complex society.

Hornet Athletic Passes

Harrison Community Schools will offer a Family Athletic Pass that may be purchased for $125.00 in the office at Harrison High School.  This pass allows the purchaser's immediate family into all home contests, with the exception of M.H.S.A.A. sponsored events, during the school year in which a paid admission is charged.  This pass would be good for the current school year.

Senior Citizen Activity Pass

If you are a resident of the Harrison School District and 60 years or older, you qualify for a Harrison Community Schools Senior Activity Pass which shall permit you to attend all home activities of the school, such as plays, concerts, and regular athletic events, free of charge.  The pass is non-transferable. To receive your pass, stop by the High School Office located at 700 E. Fifth Street.

High School Driving Permits

All High School students will need to register their cars and pick-up driving permits in the High School office. Information needed to register vehicles is as follows: Make, year, color of car and license plate number. There is no cost for the permit, however, if the permit is lost there is a $5.00 renewal fee. The permit is to be on display at all times while the vehicle is in the school parking lot.
